Character's Name: Aigis
Character's Canon: Persona 3
Character's Age: 10? Technically? Looks like a teenage girl, however, and she is a robot, so age doesn't mean much.
Canon Point: Post-Journey, Minato side
Background/History: Here's a wiki link!
Strengths:
(1) RELIABLE - As a machine, Aigis's "duty" and "purpose" have obviously always been a part of her core programming. Since developing her humanity, however, that fact has ultimately not changed. She is a driven individual who, when her mind is put to a goal, strives to see it through to the end. Her promise to protect the protagonist stays at the front of her mind throughout the entire game, and even small goals that she sees as bettering individuals's lives are seen through (she even goes so far as to break into the protagonist's room to wake him up early for school, just due to a message she saw on the wall). So, yes, expect her to keep to her words... even if you probably don't want her to at times.
(2) ADAPTABILITY - Relating to her earlier determination and reliability, Aigis does not allow herself to be deterred by small bumps on the road. Her struggles through her existence have formed a mindset that things, people and situations can change--her own humanity is proof of that fact, after all. Along with that emotional strength is a physical flexibility, as her identity as a robot obviously gives her an advantage in fights. She can analyze and respond to situations that arise with mechanical precision, drive herself to her limits due to her durability, and ultimately stay in combat for much longer than a regular human would. This works well with her drive to support and protect those she loves, though it does mean she pushes herself to the limit much more frequently than she should.
(3) EARNEST - It's... honestly pretty easy to read Aigis. She doesn't have a good grasp on lying or deceit, given she's essentially lived her life getting answers by asking complicated questions and getting complicated answers. She voices what she thinks, throws her very being into everything she does, and despite her weird, contradictory existence, she's not incredibly complicated to Get. In addition, Aigis doesn't ever half-heartedly do things--it's never been in her programming to do it (obviously), and she hasn't even really had a chance to develop Slack-Off.EXE.
Weaknesses:
(1) NAIVE - As a machine that developed during a very short time in a very small environment, Aigis's own understanding of the world is rather limited. While she's learned some greater overall JRPG messages (like finding meaning in life through other people), more intricate and difficult topics kind of baffle her, and even her own emotions can still be difficult to parse through at times. Her inexperience shows through her social link, where the complicated relationship between a grandson and his grandmother confuses her, and she annoys/offends the grandson in her quest to search for answers. She can barge into sensitive topics without care by accident at times; though she does not mean to offend anyone, her search for explanations in the inexplicable causes her to step on feet at times, which can affect her relationships with people who do not quite get where she's coming from.
(2) SELF-CONSCIOUS - Developing a more human nature has not saved Aigis from some of her insecurities. While she is more grounded in her identity as a "living" machine, later scenes in canon show that she continuously struggles with the concept of having a metal body and a human heart. Voicing such a fact is a simple way to get Aigis quiet, because it's ultimately something she understands she won't be able to change. People's response to her... unique existence is also a subject of insecurity, as she yearns to make connections and make people comfortable--however, she understands that her very concept is an oddity that can confuse other people.
(3) SENSITIVITY TO FAILURE - Another thing Aigis hasn't been able to change is just how important her objective is to her. Her own goals are no longer dictated by code and more by her wants and needs, though the fact remains that her failing to complete what she sets out to do haunts her greatly. Her failure to protect the protagonist and fulfill her "life's purpose" (protecting him) leaves her lost, fumbling to find a reason to live, and ultimately leads to her discarding the humanity she spent so much time developing. Though Aigis is no longer a machine that functions based on a checklist of tasks, she devotes her whole being to the things she sets out to do. Unfortunately, this leaves her with a very fervent need to succeed in those things.
Powers/Abilities:
Aigis is a specially-designed weapon for combating Shadows (see: Anti-Shadow weapons), which means she's a robot specifically made to punch things in the face. And she is quite good at punching things in the face! She's incredibly durable, fit to analyze battle situations, and capable of very... machine-like feats of strength... She can scan enemies and individuals, though what specific output she gets is pretty unclear. In the game she's shown to be able to analyze body temperature, body proportions, etc. So I'll be keeping it rather simple! She can also shoot bullets from her fingers, because finger guns are a very practical design.
Besides that, Aigis also has access to the titular "Persona", which is basically a manifestation of the soul used for combat. Aigis's persona, Pallas Athena, is capable of several buffing support moves and physical damage. Which... fits, given it's a reflection of Aigis herself. More specifically, Pallas Athena is capable of buffing allies' speed, defense and attack, supplemented by additional general healing abilities. Her more physical attacks are a mix of group and single-target. She has no traditional elemental spells.
In addition to all of that, Aigis has access to a special command labelled Orgia Mode. It's essentially a Super Saiyan transformation, which removes all the limitations placed on her and fully amplifies her overall offensive abilities. Using this is dangerous, however, as it causes her to overheat. Use of Orgia Mode leaves her unable to move for a slight period of time, as her body attempts to recover.
Other Noteworthy Traits:
Aigis's mind is said to be like that of a human, so there's no fantastic robotic memory that needs to be mentioned here. She does seem to be capable of picking locks, given the fact she... breaks into Minato's room a couple of times, but it's not a skill that she seems to use very often.
Aigis's miscellaneous robotic gifts allow her to speak to dogs, and she does not need to (nor can she) eat. Sleeping, dreaming, and crying is possible, though it is a function she can lose (which she does later on in canon).
Weapons & Other Special Inventory:
(1) Gekkoukan Uniform (on her)
Color: Yellow - The bulk of her color scheme is yellow... but the color also represents optimism and hope, which she's learned to feel through her development in the game.
Sample: One, two, and three!
